Meet Our Instructors

Alison had a successful competitive highland dancing career for nearly 20 years, training with Kelly Abrahart and Bill Troock in Sherwood Park and Jessica Imeson in Calgary. Highlights of her dancing career include representing Alberta at the Canadian Championships 5 times and competing at the Cowal World Highland Dance Championship in Scotland. She became a Member of Scottish Dance Teachers' Alliance in 2020 after becoming an Associate member in 2016. Outside of the studio, Alison works as Registered Dietitian with Alberta Health Services. 

Avery is a dancer with 13 years of experience. She has represented Alberta at the Canadian Championships, placing in the top 5. Avery has competed in and won Championship titles throughout Canada. She is currently training at the Strathcona School of Dance with Bill Troock and Kelly Abrahart, and previously trained at Red Deer School of Highland Dance. Avery became an Associate member of the Scottish Dance Teachers' Alliance in 2025. Avery is attending Red Deer Polytechnic, pursuing a Bachelor's of Education.
